We welcome commissions for bespoke hand-made pieces of fine furniture and niche projects for both residential and commercial clients from private homes to hotels, restaurants, bars and offices, anywhere in the world.
How to commission us
Briefing, design
We work with end clients, architects and interior designers – starting with the brief which identifies the requirements of the project where we discuss the functional and practical requirements, aesthetics with materials, colours and finishes, budgets and time scales. Once all are agreed we move into creating design drawings which start to bring the project to life.
Production
Our standard lead time is 8-12 weeks from receipt of the initial payment. If specific dates are required to work to we will discuss these during the briefing, we will do our best to work to these. We will keep you up to date with the production process throughout the lead time, and notify of any potential delays at the earliest opportunity. For complex pieces we welcome workshop visits both in South Africa and the UK, these will only be available by prior appointment with the studio team.
Upholstery
If the commission requires upholstery we can either use one of our standard fabrics or leathers, can work with a clients own.
Payment
We split payments for all bespoke projects, 50% is required after the brief is agreed before production drawings are developed and then 50% when the piece is ready to leave the workshop.
Shipping
We ship anywhere in the world. We discuss requirements at the briefing and will inform you of cost options once your order has been received. The delivery address and access information should be made clear at the briefing so the cost can be included in our quotations and invoices. Import duty is additional to the cost of delivery and will be invoiced once delivery has been made.
